Default Help! Car has died...

I have a 95 camaro lt1, It has a jet stage1 chip, a k&n cold air setup, and head back exhaust. I went out to the store and topped off the tank, and the car was running great, but on my way home, went to turn on my turnsignaland pull into my road, at this point the engine died, my turn signal didn't work my brakes and steering all died, and I coasted it to the side of the road.the radio still works, along with the lights/ power locks, but thats it, the engine wont even try to turn over. All the main fuses looked good, any Ideas?

first thing to do is check the battery voltage. You may be able to work your radio only because it only takes about 1 volt to run, however it takes about 10-11 volts to actually turn the car over, just depends on each car.Seeing how your car died after you used the turn signal indicates you either had a bad battery/or low voltage battery or a bad alternator

[&:] you can check the fusible links by the battery, try looking at tsb's for similar symptoms here on this site. do you have an alarm system on the car?? lets make sure the battery is up to snuff first kurt

Good to hear you got it back up. Sometimes the most confusing of problems turn out to be the easiest to fix.

Just a thought... If the car died when you made a turn and it was because of a bad connection on the battery, you might need to test your alternator out.
