Default Grinding when starting

Today at lunch my car made a grinding sound and didn't turn over when I tried starting it. After I stopped and tried again it started up no problem. Then after school there was no problem whatsoever starting. When I changed my plugs about 1000 miles ago I also inspected and lubed my wireset and coilpacks with dielectric grease so this leads me to think it has something to do with the starter. I asked a buddy of mine in auto about the problem and he said I might need to lube my starter. Anyone else have any ideas?

Changing plugs has nothing to do with a grinding starter. Make sure the battery is fully charged, and that the starter is in good shape, and check the starter bolts to see that they are tight.
