Default FML Security Light Flash!

Hi there,

I am currently new to this web, but think it's awesome. I know there are a few threads regarding this ordeal and I have read them, but I was just wondering if you more experienced or car-savvy people can tell me the exact steps I should take because I am new with cars and not very car-savvy. Also I DO NOT want to go to GM because I do not feel like paying $500 for 3 hrs of work, so I'm trying all I can to stay outta there but it is my last solution.

I got a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro V6 3.4L with a flashing security light (steady about 1 flash/s) and this is what I have done so far..

I have checked all my fuses, tried my spare key, tried to allow my car to relearn the key ( I unplugged the PCM ign for 30 secs, then put the key in the ign and crankd it and left it in the ON for 10 mins exact or more, then put it in OFF for 10 secs, and repeated that 3 times). I even let my battery die before I tried the 'key relearn' thing. The next step I read is to check the resistance of the pellet and my wires, but I do not have the tools to do so and my car wont start ...

So please tell me if I have forgot to try another thing and if not, is the checking of the resistance the next step? and what after? changing my BCM/ ignition?

Thanks alot for the help, much appreciated.

Take the key to a place like Autozone or find a friend that has a voltmeter to ohm it out for you. But since you have tried 2 keys, the key is probably not the issue.
