Default Fluid Seeping Upwards

I have some brown fluid that seeps up into the carpet on the passenger floorboard. It is near the gear change stick. Any ideas? I have a 2000 automatic, v6.

Default RE: Fluid Seeping Upwards

[] have you felt the fluid?? does it dissolve in water?? does it feel like oil?? any odor?? are you the original owner?? on more than one occasion ive seen a brownish stain/fluid continue to reappear on carpet and discovered it was a spilled mocha, frappacino, latte etc. the oil in the coffee has good staying power especially when only wiped up, try a good carpet or steam cleaner if you think this may be the culprit kurt
