Default Exhaust Question

Right now I got a magnaflow works great. I want something with either more louder POWER or a glasspack. Now my question is I know the single glass packs are really loud, so could I cut out my single to dual and just put a single with the glasspack or would it be better to get new headers and bigger pipes for a louder more powerful sound with the magnaflow?

flowmaster sux, borla has a lower tone. now slp loudmouth 1 or 2 is the loudest you can go. you can always add a cut-out too.

Wow, a "part thingy" very descriptive Ovulator

You can put them on either before or after. If you put them on after you're just going to get a lot of noise, if you put them on before you're going to get a lot of noise and maybe a slight increase in power. What year/engine car do you have?

It depends on how big your wallet is. If you put them on before you're going to have to get 2 because of the Y. If you're looking for more noise I'd probably say after the cat, the V6 can't outflow the muffler you have on it right now, you're not going to get any more power.

Nono, one after the cat, which is after the Y. If you have 2 cutouts in 1 pipe you're just wasting money[&:]

As far as a good sight to buy them off, www.summitracing.com is always a good place to look. I recommend www.speed-eng.com they sponsor the forum and have sales from on stuff. I bought my headers from them and it's been one of the best buying experiences I've had, they're very communicative about your purchase and the progress of it (my headers were made once I ordered them, so they kept me up to date).
