98 z28 engine light is on read code crankshaft sensor replaced and ran worse.cars feels like its going to turn of and has no power when temperture starts rising. any recomendations

 

take it to an autozone or local parts store and get it scanned

 

You need to find out the code, don't just change parts.

 

I think there are some steps to do after replacing a crank sensor because the computer adjusted to the bad one or something. I had to do this before but I dont remember what is was. I think it was a GM vehicle. Just a thought.

 

Don't know about the 98s, but on many cars, you need to be careful about having the proper gap, too close and you brake it, too far won't get signal

 

If the light is off now, check compression.
