okay so i had a Zoom multifriction clutch professionally installed, and now 2 days later whenever i am all the way Off of the clutch pedal, not even a little, there is a squeek, more of a chirping, ocurring at the engine rpm. you know? what the hell is this. faulty bearing installation perhaps? btw it is a 1992 z28 with a 350 and a 5speed.

some first thoughts are pilot bearing issue, front trans bearing issue or possibly a throwout bearing hanging slightly.

If it was proffesionally installed they would likely want to see you back sooner then later to recheck and verify the issue. I know I would at my shop. Nothing irks me more then a car I work on, they take it, then months later come back and say "ever since you did this it has done this". I'd rather have them walk in a few days/hours/minutes later and say. "hey, does this have anything to do with this?"

If you can rest your foot on the pedal & the sound goes away, I'd blame your TOB.

Did you swap the 350 into your car?
