Default engine compartment electrical tape

I've made a few obd1 stand-alone wire harness using the factory harnesses. I've always used your standard electrical tape from my local auto parts store which after awhile becomes undone. Basically the adhesive fails probably from the harsh engine compartment temps. I usually re-wrap the wires after uncluttering the unnecassary wires. What brand have you guys been using that has held up similar to the factory wrap?

I've restored/rewrapped a number of wiring harnesses. You don't use sticky tape. Use the restoration wiring harness "tape" that you can get at places like Ecklers etc. It's wider than electrical tape, not a sticky tape, and it gives you a factory harness look. At the ends, you thread the end underneath the last (double) loop and pull it tight.
