Default Electric supercharger

My cousin bought a crappy electric supercharger the other day, and I must say it looks like a piece of crap. There is no way these things can work, right?

JUNK!!! the only way it would work is if it had a speed controller to control the speed of the motor. otherwise, theyre cramming too much air in at slow speeds. and any engine bigger than 1.3 liters @8500 or 1.6@6500, the amount of cfm they pump is lower than the engine consumes, which will limit the amount of air possible at full power. it will give some tiny gains at lower rpms, but not much. its like the 40hp resistor for the iat sensor, its just junk
