EGR SOLENOID = "SES LIGHT DEMON SPAWN!"
1995 Camaro 3.4L ..
Same old story...drive the car... hit highway speeds... begin slowing down.. SES light comes on..EGR engine codes..
"EGR SOLENOID 1,2,3" code.. and I know its not the EGR ( I replaced it soon after the light was on)..ive cleaned the pipes going into the exhaust and intake.. I shoved a brush as far as I could into the intake and carbon just kept coming.. code is still there.. any advice on how to clean out the rest of that port on the intake would be great!.. its pretty far in and I dont want to damage it with a clothes hanger.. any homemade tool suggestions?.. she has a vibration at idle and im certain that there is burning fuel to compensate for lack of air from both EGR and clogged intake.. im thinking of just taking the intake off and having it cleaned out at the machine shop.. alright .. thats enough for now..
advice? experience?

[&:] folks heres where backyarding has its limits a code is only a direction not the cure. your egr valve itself could be bad or the wiring to it or the computer spend the dollars and take to a reputable repair shop to properly diagnose this one. often its the egr valve itself kurt
