draining battery

Took the car to have the altenator checked. The guy said it was missing the connector in the back. So I went back home to look over the chilton manual. I found it and connected it to the back. I came back and that was the problem, and it starts fine without any problems.

I don't think disconnecting a wire will cause a drain?Unless the wire that was disconnected was touching ground, that makes sense. Glad its fixed.

When the alternator was checked it wasn't charging the battery. When I came back with the connected wire that goes to the voltage regulator then the alternator was charging. Just glad that its fixed. Thanks guys for all the input.

That blinking light is designedto show you that the anti-theft system inyour 1995 GM is active. I have the same light that flashes in my GMC Truck Parts. Maybe,your blinking light drain the battery.

Kotty, I have a 1969 Camaro. Way different then newer vehicles, and alot better looking too.
