Different Sized Rims and Speedometer.
Hey guys, I have a '02 Camaro with 16"x8" rims on my car. They're corroded and cracked and I'm looking to upgrade. I'm looking at a set of 17"x9" but my father told me that my speedometer would never be accurate and there's no way to change so I'm pretty much screwed. If I do upgrade my tires to the 17"x9" is there a way to calibrate my speedometer to the new rim size?
Check out the tire size calculator and you can see which 17 tires will be the same diameter as your 16's

Okay I'm kind of a noob when it comes to rims and tires. I'm looking at a set of 17x9's, my Camaro ( '02 V6 3800 ) currently has 16x8's. Is it possible to get tires for the 17's that will be the same diameter as my stock rims and tires? I don't wanna have to screw with the speedometer.
