Default deleting the security features to make car run?

I found this on a website that shows how to eliminate the security "stuff" from your camaro. As much trouble that I've been having with mine I'm begining to wonder if it could be part security, part kay wiring in column and/or something else all combined together. The ignition switch replacement made it work for 4 weeks straight BUT the security light did come a couple of times during that period. I've checked everything (except fuel pressure, nobody has a gauge) that I've ran across and I'm at my last straw and considering doing this security bypass. I was wondering if anyone has done it or if anyone has any thoughts on it? For anyone who hasn't read my other posts

basically it will crank over so the starter is functioning BUT the engine will not start.
