Default courtesy lights inop on 99 Z28

Any suggestions? Courtesy lights won't work. Fuse, door switch all check ok w/ multi meter. Door chime works too - but no lights. All bulbs checked ok.

There has got to be a wire loose somewheres causing this.

Or it could be in your switch

JOhn, I'm having the same problem. And I have some good and bad news. I think it is going to be tied into the Body Control Module. Bad news for you $275, good news = they can wiggle loose and is located behind glovebox. Easy replacement if necessary. I've diagnosed my problem to having good clean wires, fuses, grounds, but the lights won't work as well as the radio and power windows sometimes cut out. The normal noise of "click" when you scroll up on the dimmer switch to activate interior dome light, will not work either I bet. You may hear the noise but prob. won't help. I hear the noise ALL the time driving down the road and I think its either the switch or the BCM. I am tearing apart the switch tom. and checking connections. I'll let you know what I find.
