Default Brake Problems

About 3 month I started to have this problem where everytime I would come to a complete stop the low traction light would light up. The car will eventually stop but it feels like the pads are just riding up against the rotor and then griping on after a few seconds. I change the rotors and pads about a month ago and it was still happening. Does any one have any idea what might be going on here?

Sticking calipers? Bad brake booster? ABS computer?

Shnormo has a good point. The Low Trac lite is normally caused by one or more wheels turning slower than the others. I suspect one of the calipers is not releasing fully and grabbing when you first step on the brakes, could also be bad pads or rotors.

I've had a lot of experience with ABS, although I was not a GM mechanic. With Chryslers we had an issue on Jeeps where the car would brake normally until it almost stopped and then let loose and coast at the last minute and then stop. It turned out that although the wheel speed sensors read correctly at high speeds that when the wheels would slow down one of the sensors would lose its reading. The other issue could be a cracked tone wheel. Remember that ABS releases the brake that is slowing faster than the rest of the wheels.

sounds like exacly my case itll loosly grip and then all the sudden stop abruptly.... so did u have to just replace the censor? if so does anyone have any idea were to find them what there called exactly... price?
i was thinking meybe there was air in my lines but then i figured meybe not since it stops all the way....i bet earlyer when my abs light would come on somtimes for no reason.. its like the censor was going bad so it made the abs light turn on a nd now that its doing this its like its is in totla hell now!!!!(break funky and turns on the low trac light)
