Default brake pads

i was looking at getting new brake pads from Hawks, i have a 93 z28 but i wasnt sure if they had disc brakes or not, another thing is that the hawks say they will only fit if it has disc brakes and the 1le package, does anyone know about this ?

You can look through your rear wheel and see if it has disc. The front definatly is disc. And while looking at the rear I think the 1LE is dual piston and you could see two notches in the caliper through the wheel.

The 1LE is a special race only deal. In '93, It wasn't available with air conditioning. I have been using the caramic brake pads from O'Reilly. Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. They last well, stop great and don't leave that darned black dust on Your wheels.

Yes, and they don't squak as much as the others.

Just curious then, how much do you pay for the ceramic pads, are they more? And about the dual piston rear caliper, is there a way to check for the 1le package via vin number?
