Default 1969 camaro highbeam button

I need to secure the foot button for the highbeam to the floor. Is there any special way or just get 2 stainless sheetmetal screws and drill into the floor. There are no holes in the floor for it, so I want to make sure this is correct before I do anything. Got the car after somebody else finished up the restoration and finishing the little things. Thanks, Jerod

Yes, screwed to the floor is how it goes. There is a recessed area in the floor where the switch fits, and factory carpeting has a trimmed out hole for it to pop through.
