12 bolt swapp

Default 12 bolt swapp

hey guys, I have a rear from a 70 chevelle 54" I do not know whats factory in my 68 camaro. I know its a 10 bolt posi and my engine is just goin to rip it to shreds,,,,,,any way will it fit? Will I need different offset wheels?

Well the Chevelle is a 4 link coil setup and the Camaro is a leafspring setup. SInce noth rears sell for about the same amount your best bet would be to sell the Chevelle the rear and buy a Camaro rear.

na, just goin to cut the coil stuff off and weld on new perches. I dont want the hassle of trading and searching/traveling. Im really concerned on the lengths

The 68-72 Chevelles is 2.5" wider then first gen Camaro.

thank u very much, the 12 bolt is fitted with mark williams guts and a richmond 4.88 ((which is coming out for a 4.10 swap). so its ready to go in.
