Well sorry if i sound like an idiot, but theres nothing wrong with a good race between two people racing there cars to see who is faster, as long as you do it saftly not swerving threw cars.

Im going to try very hard to be nice man. You have been a productive member of the forum and i am not trying to bash you or flame you in any way but i want to to take a good second and listen. First off you are by all means a novice driver and have very little experience driving. Second when "street racing" you can never account for other people and there actions. It might be the other driver or some young mother that pulls out in front of you. It also only takes one time man i cant strees that too much. Trying to show off or getting into a pissing contest to see who can win and illegal race isnt going to get you any where in life and is only going to have you wasting you hard earned money and possibly causing you tons of problems down the road. Maybe you will get pulled by the police. Maybe you will have a wreck and total your car, Maybe it could be a lot worse. All things you need to think about very hard.

I just came on here to figure out how many races i would be getting around. I love racing so i was curious. And admit im a novice mechanic, but i love talking on here with you guys about all this stuff, its so intresting and fun to learn about engine parts and everything
. I know i have to be carefull when racing on streets, Thanks alot cbr600 for being conserned about me wanted to race.
You've gotta realize you're probably going to get flamed with that post, but I'll just say this...whatever you do, know when to shut it down. A lot of times you get caught up in the moment and the adrenaline gets flowing and you don't realize what you're doing. It's kinda like entering a dark tunnel and you're looking at the end, where the light is, cuz you want to beat the other guy so bad. But don't be an idiot and do it in town, and know when to shut it down. Don't go out there and kill someone.
That being said, take it to the track

Lol i know but every once in a while when i see a ricer on an open road who wants to race, theres nothing that will stop me from showing that peice of crap how to drive.

Its ok that you dident know this but, i race stage 3 shifter karts professionaly(I get paid to race by sponsers). These things can hit 0-60in less than 3.5 seconds. I am an exspirenced driver, my first time driving i was 6 and a half with a ford f150 on curvey swervy country roads passing my uncles built dune buggy.

im all for street racing as long as its not on a very busy road ora road with a lot of pedestrians or traffic lightsor something. ive had my share of races, but ive never done it on a busy road or on a busy time of day. that being said, u dont sound like some guy thats going to do something stupid. u sound like u know when is a good time and when it isnt a good time to race. theres nothing wrong with having the urge to whip a few ricers
I totally agree RS96LSU, and 1990camaroRS, i know theres alot differnt between Race karts and a 1700 pound car. Its not like the day i get my liscene im gunna be going 100mph down the highway(i dont think) I will take it easy the first few weeks and really get to know traffic and how much people change lanes and stuff. Thanks for the concerns though.
um try around 3200 to 3500lb car.and it might be fun to race but it is so not worth it,i was the same way you are when i got my lisence, and i almost lost it within thefirst week of haveing itcause i was being stupid and i didnt even think about what i was doing.i have whatched people get tickets for racing shoot even i have gotten one for it and i wasnt even racing the car next to took off and the cop pulled me over, trust me you do not want to go home and have to explain to your parents you were racing some kid down main street doing 90mph,and you got cuaght and now you have to pay hundreds of dollars becuase you were being stupid and reckless, and its allways more fun to be the guy on the side that is whatching the stupid ricer get his car towed and get a huge ticket. i'm just saying it is not worth it at all.trust me do not learn this the hard way like the rest of us did.
