I think 14.9 is plausible. He did say he got 3.42 gears and a higher stall so that should help out some.

 

let me just say i really dont know much about these cars, so im not arguing with all of you. i just know that there is no way in heck a stock3.8 will do a 15.7

mine is slower then a lot on the road. i acctully swear up and down that my 98 4 cyl malibu with the 24v dohc was alot faster. with is quite sad.

my g/f kills my 3.8 with her o4 3.8 grand prix. (for some reason).....with is also sad.

i just really dont see my 3.8 doing a 15.7 i dont want to get banned for this. im just putting in my .02

 

ur 3.8 is auto. and without a stall or shift kit. the autos on the 3.8s were horrible stock. only reason i didnt wanna buy ur's ovulator. my t5 beat the **** out of a auto 3.8 left and right, up and down.

and im sure my 3.8 was in the 14s too. with full bolt ons, a posi rear with 4.10s, 5 speed, and a good driver.

and also, i dont know how much a 3.8 GT runs, but i think they're low 16s (beat a couple in teh ION) and the GTPs are mid 15s i think.

lol, but yeah, a bolt on 3.8 with 3.42s is easly capible of 14s. 14.7 is a good estimate.

 

15.5 accually. And, there has been 3800 Camaros that ran in the 14s with ONLY free mods & DRs. So, with headers, exhaust & intake, of corse 14.9 is believable.

Just becuase your camaro isent running to its full potential, doesnt mean all the 3.8s are that slow. Mine has over 110K miles on it, still has stock lid, 3.08 gears and does the one wheel peel and can run 15.1 and doesnt leek a drop of oil. Pretty solid engine, if you ask me. And on that note, I'm going to be swapping it out when I come back home in march. So if anyone is interested in 3.8 headers or exhaust next march. let me know
