For suspension: strut tower brace, new shocks, subframe connectors, thicker sway bars

I will suggest that you make sure to upgrade your valvetrain. Talk to a cam maker or automotive CNC machinist (I know a great one to recommend if you wanna talk to him)

I will also suggest that you DO NOT upgrade your cam in a 3.4L without doing a top swap or at least a better set of 3400 heads. The heads on your car flow like absolute garbage and cannot handle a better cam honestly.

I advise sticking to bolt ons and stay there unless you plan on doing a full top swap. In which it would be more economical for you to buy a 3.8L

It would be more economical to buy a 3.8 anyways because my car stock already makes more power than yours will with these mods.

Just my .02 though. I would never cam my DD.

Well if it's really going to cause that much trouble, I'll look into not doing anything else to my car and saving up for a 3.8...

Lol bolt ons are all good and fun. But camming it will just be a waste of time and money unless you're going all out. At which point you'll be spending 2 grand or so just to make 200 RWHP which is what my bolt on 3800 makes.

Think about this now. Take the money you can get from selling your car... That 2 grand you just invested, and buy a 3.8L Camaro. My car for example is for sale for 3000 with full bolt ons pretty much. You can get one with 100-120k miles not modded for 2500-3000.

It's up to you really. But how badly do you want a 3.8L or a LT1? If you want a different car, save your money. But far be it from me to tell you NOT to mod your 3400. Gotta look at the big picture though and see what is better for you.

Around here I can't find a 3800 with a 5-speed for less than $4000. I also would have to buy the 3800 before selling mine because I HAVE to have transportation. I'd much rather have the 3800. I just figured I could make some great HP with my 3.4... Guess not lol.

HP can be made but not great HP. It's a great deal of work to make even 200 RWHP. You're starting with 125 RWHP and trying to add 75 with the worst set of heads GM has ever made (I kid you not... They suck).

Hard to do :P
