hi im new here and i need a little info. ok i got a 98 camaro v6 and that motor is going down the road and shes geting a big one. and my question is will a vortec 6.0L out of a truck fit in the car without major modifications.

also what is the trick to pulling the v6 motor and tranny out as one peice because i cant seem to pull that one off??

it wont go in easy, I've actually seen a big Vortec in a original V6 car

ok then is there any v8 motor that is a fairly easy project but will still push out big horse?? say 400+ hp it could be fuel injected or carb dont really matter. fuel injected is slightly preferable. but not by much.

oh and i did get the motor out it wasnt much fun but its out.

 

a 98 was meant to have a LS1, but an LT1 would work

Nothing is easy, best to find a donor car or it will nickel/dime you to death

 

by chance does an LS2 engine come close to fitting anywhere likethe lt1or ls1 do or are they completely different????????

 

I BELIEVE it is the same block as the LS1
