Default TH400 Electrical question

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what wire went to the TH400's electrical connector on the side of the transmission behind the shift lever? If anyone could help me with that it would be great.

If your car originally came with a TH400, you should have the appropriate wiring and a detent switch that gets depressed by the throttle linkage at the carb. Unlike the kickdown cable on a TH350, the 400 works electrically.

Ok, so I hooked up the kickdown and it seemed to make a world of difference. It seems as if it's putting a LOT more power to the ground now than before. The only thing I noticed was that it shifted gears at higher RPM's. Instead of around 2000 - 2200 RPM's it shifting between 2800 - 3100 from what I could tell in the short run I just made. Is it normal to see such a difference in power with the kickdown hooked up properly? Also, is shifting at a higher RPM better for it or worse?
