Default RPM Issue's

Whenever I shift from 1st-2nd gear, I notice that the RPM's go up about an extra 1000 rpm's, and this also happens with 2nd-3rd gear also, but not as much. My friend told me that it means my clutch is going out, is that true? Any help would be appreciated.

Your friend is correct, that is a sign the clutch is begining to slip. Time to start saving for that new clutch.[sm=drooldude.gif]

Yes, or your transmission is installed backwards. RPMs should drop due to gearing, everytime you shift up.

Yeah I figured that much. Well, screw stock, might as well upgrade. Any good clutches I should look at?

I'm not sure. My stock one outlasted my SPEC 1 clutch by 70k-80k miles.
