Powerglide Revs going into 2nd gear - Mid throttle
I am having an issue with my Powerglide.
Low Throttle - shifts fine into 2nd
High Throttle (WOT) - shifts fine into 2nd
Mid Throttle (normal acceleration) - engine revs as it shifts (~1-2 seconds) into 2nd
Had a new vacuum modulator installed but no change. Mechanic backed off adjusting screw on modulator (roughly 2.5 turns from factory setting) but no difference. He suggested it could be a carb/vacuum issue.
I am contemplating if my next step should be to get the car tuned (it's been awhile) or take it back for further adjustment. Has anyone had similar issues?
