power gains from head swap?
currently i am running 462 heads off i think it was a 350horse 327 motor from a vette. anyway i rebuilt them and slapped them on top of my new shortblock 350 (.040 over). i want to know what power and torque numbers i would be gaining if i swapped to say a set of afr 180 or 195's. its a street motor so it wont see above 6000rpm. AFR is on top of the world right now and until someone surpasses them in flow number those are the only ones in interested in. thanks

So far we've seen the Dart's outflow everything over here on the flow bench but as Pete said it's not everything. You need to build everything together at one time or buy to complement your existing setup. Otherwise you'll have something that doesn't perform too well and you won't be too happy.

You might want to look at the Brodix IK 180 cylinder heads. They will make very good power without breaking the bank. http://www.brodix.com/heads/ik.html

I know on a LS series setup you will go from 330 wheel horse to 450 wheel with heads, cam, exhaust, intake & tune.. We would tune cars all the time at my dyno shop and you would be amazed what kind of power cars will make with just heads and a cam. usually close to 60-70 horse. you MUST swap the heads and cam at the same time to make it worth your while. Right now I am building a 67 camaro for a friend and we are just adding dart heads and a cam on his sbc and I bet he gains 60 wheel horse.. I will know in a couple weeks once we put it on the rollers..
