hello all and please advise
i just bought a 2002 Camaro SS
its got SLP headers / intake / LSD 3.7 and a camshaft which i dont know the lift of !
so heres the problem they guy i bought it from doesnt know the camshaft ratio/lift
when u run the car till the engine heats up
smoke comes out of the exhaust, he told me it needs to be tuned
is that really the reason ??

yea that would be the reason. if the cam has a diffrent lift and whatnot the ecu still sends fuel like it would be the stock cam, and the gas comes out burnt up as smoke

 

that MIGHT be the reason. if i were you kuwait...i'd go in the 4th gen section under LS1 and ask this question there...there are more knowledgeable people in that section that is specific LS1 that will be better equipped to answer
