smoke coming from bottom of engine
1991 camaro carbed 350. Recently got the oil changed. Noticed what appears to be a faint blue smoke coming from the bottom of the motor. Took the oil cap off and it comes out of there as well. Checked to see if oil filter was loose or bad and even replaced it and it still shows smoke. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ps. Car does not overheat.

Did you look under the car while it's running and see where the smoke was coming from? Since it's right after an oil change, it could be from oil that ran down onto the crossover pipe from when the old oil filter was removed. But that should burn off in a short amount of time.

do you hear a tick tick tick as the engine is running? If so, you probably have an exhaust leak and the exhaust from the tired engine is making its way out there as well as from the tail pipe
just keep a quart or 2 of oil with you and add as needed

Yeah camaro69 is right, a small amount of oil could burn up a bit. Hopefully it's just that burning oil like crazy sucks. My '83 has whitish maybe blue smoke from the exhaust on start up do you guys think that it's just burning oil or something else?

could also be an oil leak dripping. valve covers and oil pans are good for dripping onto the exhaust, and if the splash shield isnt on the trans, a rear main seal or trans input seal can sling oil onto the exhaust
