The AFR heads are probably the best flowing head you can get for an LT1 from an aftermarket vendor, but they also come with a pretty price tag. The key thing to look for in purchasing heads is to look at mid-lift flow instead of the advertised .6 or .7 inch flow. You're never going to see valve lift that heigh, and the valve only spends an instant at the extreme lift. Look for the heads that flow well around .400 inch lift (AFR sacrifices high-lift flow for a head that flows better at mid-lift). Pete makes a good point with the Lloyd Elliott packages, they're priced right and have a good cam to match. Another place that you may want to contact is Dragon Race Engineering and see what they can hook you up with. www.dragonrace.com
