Default lifter removal question

I am disassembling a 350. I am 17 and never done it before. I need to know the trick to getting lifters out. The cam and lifters are the only thing i need to take out and it's all fun from here on out. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!! The cam will just slide out after the lifters are out right?

Disassembly is the easy part. You just start talking things out. Have you pulled the intake?

Default RE: lifter removal question

Don't forget to remove the fuel pump pushrod if so equipped. Otherwise it may interfere with the cam removal. Sometimes the crud that forms on the bottom of the lifters can make it stubborn to remove. I usually grab them with a vise grip and twist and pull. New lifter will be installed anyway so don't worry about the old ones. Just don't scratch the lifter bore.
