Hey there everyone. I have a few questions for those who are more experienced with V6's than me. My lifters are going out and I have been reading about members modding their 3800's and was interested in camshafts after watching some members video's and such. The thing is I'm paying for a wedding right now so it was really something I was going to do later on but since my lifters are going out now I've decided I might as well do the camshaft also. I've looked on Jegs.com and Comp Cams and they both have the same 3 options for cams. Jegs however has Cam/Lifter kits but doesn't give me any information.

My question is, what would be my best bet? I don't know much about the 3800's. The only cam's I've come acrossed were the Comp Cam's which give me 3 different options for the same price. I'm looking for a Cam/Lifter kit to replace my stock parts so If anybody can give me some sort of input or set me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

what are your current mods and what are you goals ?

 

It's completely stock right now. My goals right now is to get it running LoL. Besides that, in the future I would like to keep up with Z's and SS's

 

well you will need a lot of work to do that...its reccomended before adding a cam to atleast have heads,a cold air intake and a catback

 

Yea, I could kick myself in the *** sometimes for selling my Z28. It was running low 11's but it had horrible gas mileage and it was my daily driver. I sold that to get this...
