L82 engine questions

I did a search but didn't see anything for this. I have an L82 350 SBC from my 74 Camaro Z28 Type LT and was wondering if this engine's oil pan had the thick or thin front seal. I heard it was around 73 - 75 when this changed but I don't know 100% for sure. If anyone knows or can point me at a site or somewhere that can tell me this information that would be great.
Also, I have a question about roller rockers. I know the 1.5, 1.55, 1.6 are ratios but what are they actually measuring and what would be a good example of how to measure the ratio for its performance? With the 7/16's and 3/8's poly lock sets on the rockers, which ones are better? I know that bigger isn't necessarily better in some cases and I was wondering if this was one of those. I could've sworn I heard someone talking about how the 3/8's are better than the 7/16's but I can't remember for sure. Is that the case?
