i have a 69-396 with HEI. The #2 & #7 cylinders are not firing regularly. It first started with the #7 plug, but went away after a wire change. i thought prob cured. but now the # 7 fires intermitantly and the #2 not at all. i thought new wires again, but no help. if i pull the wire off of the cap, the dist can fire 1/2" to hit my finger or the pug end, so know dist is firing. i dont understand what is causing the intermitant or the lack of firing. Please email direct if possible.

Have you looked at the plugs? The may be bad or fouled becuse of the previous bad wires.
