Default i need help selecting a rebuild kit

I'm looking for a rebuild kit for a 1969 350 3970010 i'm trying to build a 450hp engine i have a nice block I'm gonna send to the machine shop.but I'm not sure what rebuild kit to buy and what is the best deal and I'm not sure what to look out for like name brands and such. I see a lot with the silvo-lite aluminum pistons but I'm not sure also i need a kit with a crank too! any pointers would help

p.s. i got a set of 202 heads on criegslist

Your best bet, being that you heading to a machine shop, is to ask them for their recommendations. They are in the business and have good knowledge of what really works. You need to tell them what you intend to use the car for, and what performance level you want. Machine shops are also a good source for parts, and since they deal with wholesalers they can match the prices of mail order. Best of all, if they order the parts they are responsible for them working and fitting properly.

As well as repairs of existing equipment and parts. They also have deep understanding of the kind of work the finished parts will be used for.
