Default I need help selecting heads!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently just bought a nice 350 with the 3970010 casting 4 bolt main. Im currently looking for a set of heads I'm not sure what to get so many choices.I'm looking to get into the 450 hp range. my heads spinning i was looking at camel hump heads you know the 2.02 ones preferably from the 60's but I've read there not that great maybe some vortic's but i hear there only good to about 400 and they won't take a blower or added stress.I'm not sure so i got to thinking i should just buy some aluminum heads from summit or something any help plz an article on heads would be nice to read i don't under stand what i should get.

A set of vortec would be your best buy for the money spent. With a little machine work and a set of good valve springs to match you cam and your set. If money is not a problem then a good set of alumium head are the answer. Here in Wis. there is a class of cars called Mid Americans. Motors are 360 or less .500 lift cam and flat top pistons with factory vortec heads. These motor on the dyno make 497-506HP all day long. Don't sell the factory vortec casting short. They are the best bang for the buck out their. Only the 906 and the 062 casting are the only good ones. Their is a vortec casting for the 305 but they are not the ones to use because of the ristriction in the intake port.
