how much can the th700R tranny handle?

Default how much can the th700R tranny handle?
Whats up, planning to drop some aftermarket parts into my '91 z28, but I need tohow much horsepower the stock transmission can handle. I've heard it will grenade after 300, but whether it was300 at the crank or to the ground I'm not sure. If anyone has information on this please let me know, Thanks

Don't worry about the 700R4 unless you plan on doing something dumb driving the car.
