Goin Bigger
Somtimes I think that as well, but latly my car has been having computor fits, it does not like this new cam too well and has trouble finding idle somtimes. The sucky part is that some days it's fine and others it acts all wacky. I gotta get it back on the dyno and fiddle with the tune some more.
i would have to disagree with you, just because i hate computerized cars. i know fuel injection offers better gas mileage and throttle response, and some minor things like that, but there is nothing better then hearing the air being sucked through your fat carb. right now, i have a carbureted car, and it has never run better in its life. the car has unbelievable throttle response and it is dam fun to drive too. not to mention, if the fuel injection in ur car fails on u, u are gonna have a fun time trying to find out what happened, or like the problems you are having right now, it is not too fun battleing your car to accept your cam. if a carb fails, pay a little to get it rebuilt, or do it yourself, which is a rare occation by itself. not to say you are wrong, its all opinion, but i will be "carbureted" for the rest of my life.
some day when i have the chance, i would love to find my quarter mile times. looking at what has been done to the engine so far, i would guess that it is putting probably 350hp and around 400ft lbs of torque, and it is a 3800 lb car. what do any of you think the quarter mile times would be?
you couldnt combine that into 1 post? PW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyway, its just a matter of personal preference. the Carb VS FI fight will last on for ages to come....

Hey I have owned nothing but carbed cars, this is my first FI car. There are definaly some pluses and minus' to both. In the end if nothing else I learned somthing new. I do like the idea that his car is fully capible of running into the 11's and still get near 25 mpg on the high way and be reliable enough to drive any place, anytime.
Depending on a ton of factors like gear, trans type, traction, driver skill etc. I am going to guess low 13's. I run low 12's with about 400 rwhp in a 3600+- lb car.
