i have a 97 camaro v6 3.8 series 2..comes to find out i mite hafta replace the motor.. is it possible to do an engine swap and put a v8 in..and if so what would hafta be done? because honestly i'd have alot less problems with a v8 cuz v6 camaros are junk. thanks alot.

 

seems like i keep answering this one....time to make a FAQ section patrick! the answer is everything! tranny, computer, rear, motor and trans mounts, wiring harness, just about everything from a V8 camaro would have to be swapped into your V6 body to do this swap. hope this helps

 

your best bet is to pull out the cross member with the v8 engine you will be swapping in still in tact and install that. you will obviously need the computer and possibly the trans if it is a stick. i know on LS1 swaps you need the fuel lines as well. prepare for a lot of work if your gunna do it. good luck.
