Engine replacement?
I’m looking for some honest thoughts on engine replacement? I’m stuck trying to decide what direction to go. I found a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro engine that looks pretty clean, but I’m always a little unsure when it comes to used motors. Some sellers make everything sound perfect, but you never really know how the engine was treated before it came out of the car.
If anyone here has replaced an engine recently, what did you look for before buying? Compression numbers, running video, service history—anything that helped you avoid getting burned?
Just trying to make a smart choice before I spend the money.
