Default Engine performance question

My 81 Z28 has the stock 175HP 350 with only 27000 miles on it. Im completely rebuilding the car. It has set in a field for approx 22 yrs of its total life. Other then fuel smoke where the carb and emissions arent hooked up right, it doesnt have any problems that I can see. I do either have an exhaust leak or a lifter peckin alil. Havent really looked too hard at it yet. I wasnt going to do too much as far as the engine was concerned other than maybe the gaskets that are leaking like the valve cover gaskets and the intake gasket. I was thinking about puttin alil bigger cam in it but would like someone elses opinion. I also dont wanna have to put any kind of stall converter. The cam I was lookin at is a 350/350HP L82 Hydraulic. 291/287 Adv. Duration, Duration @ .050 224/224, Valave Lift .450/.460, Lobe C/L 114. Any ideas?
