Default easy upgrades

I'm new to the forum and just the other day bought a 96 v6 RS and am wondering what type of easy engine upgrades I could do. Just wanting a little mroe horsepower. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks

Most start with an exhuast upgrade. I have a basic 96 camaro with the auto tranny, so here is what I did and the cost of it. I had a 2 and 1/2 inch pipe ran from the cat to the back and then split into 3 1/2 inch by 22 inch echo chambers for like $78. then I removed the mass air meter screen in front of the throttlebody, free mod. And since the air route from the filter to the throttlenbosy is so restrictive to start with, i simply removed the filter and a couple of peices around the air box, then cut a small square hole in the valance rught under it to allow cool air to the motor, that was free to and what a difference in the top end. Now my only problem is a slipping tranny. This was the cheapest route for the most perfomance. I'll post some websites later.

Hypertechs Power Programmer III could help you out?! I think you can find them on ebay pretty cheap, and then once you get your tuning, sell the thing. All up to you, just my thought.
