Not hard if you done it before. Get yourself a good repair manual with step by step instructions, or someone to help you that has done it before. Also a transmission jack would help, especially when you go to put the transmission back.

ya i picked up a haynes repiar manual it has a step by step of what to do i havent done it before my freinds dad whose house im doing it at has on a older truck but not this car i dont have a tranny jack but ill see what i can do maybe borrow one i dunno but thanks

As mentioned above, not hard at all. Use a really long extension and flex-head socket to get to the upper bolts. Get the impact style extension so it wont flex like the regular ones do. Might bea good time to replace your torque arm bushing and trans mount to urethane style, also check for leaking seals.

not sure what a splicer is, is your friend referring to a trans part or a tool? I'm wondering if he's calling the clutch alignment tool a clutch spline tool? If so, then it's a plastic shaft that re-aligns your clutch upon installation.

so i got the trans off and i think i found the leak its near the flywheel and i dont think its a freeze plug its a vertical hole so any idea what it might be its about finger width size
