Default big problem

hi, i am rebielding a 94 camaro it is the lt1 and i am making it into a 383 stroker. i put the crank and pistons in and was ready to put the heads on it but i noticed that the piston comes up way far so i but the head on top and smashed it flat, turned the crank and it hit the head. why is it doing this. i think maybe the connecting rods are to long. they are the 5.7 rods. is that true? what size do i need.

Wrong pistons for the stock rods and stroker crank. You need pistons with the wrist pin moved closer to the piston crown.

As they say in China...Sum-Ting-Wong! Did you buy this as a "stroker kit", or are you putting the parts together?
