Default 305beefup/TBI cleaning?

I did a little research, and tried to get a 350 engine but where I'm from, 350 engines are kinda expensive so I might have to run with another 305. So is there any way to get more power out of the 305 (Cams, pistons, heads, etc.) Also looking at my tbi unit, it might be cleaned. Which is easier, cleaning it or getting a new one? Any suggestions are gladly appreciated.

where are you from? 350's are dirt cheap, check ebay as well

I wouldn't beef up a 305...but if you want Cam, port the heads, full bolt ons, intake manifold, gears, etc will get you some more power

Im from Arkansas, and if was to get a 350 motor i would get it new. Tried the junk yard but they don't stay there long, or they aredogged out (learned that from my first camaro.).A new 350 is almost$3,000 down here. But Iunderstand that if you want horsepower youre gonnahave tospend money so there is nogoing around it. Hahaha.

It just that 350s are a demand down here. Everybody wants them cuz they are popular motors. I wish there were the prices like that here.
