Default 3.8 Series II crate/rebuilt/remanufactured engine

Hi all.
I'm looking for an engine for my 2001 4th gen.
An unnoticed coolant leak destroyed my main bearings... The real problem is that I live in Italy, no salvage yards full of goodies here
I'd like to purchase a "hassle free" unit, so I was looking for a long block (sorry if I use wrong terms, not my native language) or something like that and I need some tips on purchasing the unit.
Any help (pm, if forum policies don't allow any kind of "adverising")?

Thank you!

Sorry, you are not likely to get much help off this site. Here in the US the 3800 are one of the most plentiful motors and low miles newer 3800s can be found for as little as $500 for a 2008 with low miles. GM discontinued it long block a few years ago. I cannot remember anyone buying a remanufactured one but I am sure there some out there. The only issue would be any places we would use would be local vendors and it is unlikely they are an international supplier. You really want to find someone that will back up their warranty.

You are aware that just about any GM 3800 long block will work?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I found one at RockAuto; I know that about any 3800 would go, but living here I just wanted something "free" of troubles. As I said, no salvage yards full of goodies, here
