i used the 3 step process. i LOVED the finish i got, even with my car being in the shape its in. Work with it a lot though, i did. Seems like the more you work with it, the better it looks. I polised 2 or 3 times, and waxed it 4 times the first time i did the 3 step.

If you just got your car painted you dont need the 3 step stuff. Thats for stripping, polishing and waxing. If its new paint you have nothing to strip. I would use the Meguires (spell check) cleaner/wax... its one bottle and I get it at Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone.

GO TO THE PAINT STORE THAT SELLS 3M PRODUCTS AND TELL THEM YOU NEED SOMTHING TO KEEP THE PAINT SHINY AND TO KEEP UV RAYS FROM HARMING IT

IT NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 70 OR UP OUTSIDE FOR 30 DAYS BEFORE PUTING ANYTHING ON THE PAINT. FUNNY YOU ASK WHY "BECAUSE THE CHEMICALS IN THE PAINT STILL NEED TO BLEED OUT OF THE TOP SURFACE OF THAT NEW PAINT, IF YOU WAX IT YOU WILL TRAP THE CHEMICALS AND THE PAINT CAN MODEL OR LOOK DULL, THEN IT WILL LOOK OLD WITH A SHINE.

FOR INSTANCE CLEARCOAT WILL NOT DRY IF IT IS ONLY 40 DEGREES OUT.

MIX SOME CLEAR WITH EXTRA HARDNER AND PUT IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR A WEEK
PULL IT OUT AFTER A WEEK LET IT WARM UP AND POUR IT IN A PAINT GUN AND SPRAY IT ON THE CAR AND IT WILL BE FINE.
