What the heck is wrong with my car if the check enginelight comes on. I have taken it to where i bought it and they fixed it once and now it is on again any suggestions for a fix.

Find out what code it is showing and fix the problem. The SES light will continue to come on until the proble is fixed. To reset just disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.

The same problem may be back, or you may have new ones, get the thing scanned & find out. Do what the light says.

I don't know whay year car you have, but if it a 95or older (OBDI), it does not care whether you have cats or not. Get the car scanned & see what the complaint is.

yeah, go to Autozone and have it scanned. If the light is flashing (96 and newer, OBDIII) then its a misfire, but if its staying on i think its something with emissions..
