i will be cutting a hatch to do my fuel pump if i need to do it again. what a pita it is to drop the tank. gotta pull the rearend and exhaust. im not so sure it s the fuel pump. when its not running its not getting power to the coil or ignition modual right?

i fixed the problem with the spark issue. i'm getting power all the time now to the coil and to the opti. if i use starting fluid it will fire every time. somewhere i'm not getting enough fuel.

is that unter the carpet in the back??? that would make it MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to do what i need to do.. i was able to get my exhaust out of the way and the straps down for the tank. i didn't want to touch the rear end..

the reason i think its a fuel problem is when i changed the filter i was getting milky looken stuff out of the filter and the line to the tank.. and yes this is a PITA!

okay. the multimeter test shows that the pump is in good working order. but i'm still not getting enough fuel.. what am i missing??

that milky lookin stuff was most likely water. that would explain some things. could be sugar but ive never seen what sugar does when mixed with gas. pull the fuel filter again and dump it out in a glass jar and see whats there.

did that with the fuel...

okay. i fianlly got a scanner that would work on my car. its showing a code 27. egr solenoid. would this make the car not run correctly??? if so, its next on the list.

the code 27 is the ONLY code i could pull up.

a second check with the scanner shows a code 16 as well as code 27. I.C.M.?

im surprised it didnt have something on the map or maf sence we unhooked them. egr would make it run rough. no fishing tomorrow so ill see if i can make time to come over and we can see what the fuel pressure is doin, check to see if the injectors are firing. check this out and see if it helps.
