Still not sure what to go with,
Right now I'm between a quadrajet and some sort of edelbrock...
I want some oomph and power, without wrecking my wallet too bad

At my local carb shop, the owners willing to build me a qjet for $350


Whats on my 350 right now -
Carter 650 cfm
Edelbrock intake
Holley mechanical fuel pump

1 more question, the holleys pumping 9 psi at idle... should i tear it off and replace it with a weaker pump instead of bothering with fuel regulators?...

So what carburetor, and what mechanical fuel pump...

 

Either carb would work great. If you go with a Quadrajet be sure to get it done by a pro, or you may have problems.

One nice thing about the Edelbrock is that you can play around with the metering rods/jets without removing the carburetor. You probably already know that.
