Default air intake and chip question

Hey guys Im a newbie here. I drive a 2012 45th Anniversary convertible with a v6 LFX engine. I was contemplating on adding a cold air intake and chip for extra hp and mpg. I was wondering if it is worth it and if so any recommendations?

Thanks!
Mike

Wont see any significant gains with cold air. A tune like a hypertech or something of the sort may show some decent gains, however this will void any warrantee on the car.

I got a custom tune and my mileage went back up to where it was before I changed out the rear end. I think it bumped it from around 16 back to 18. I dont know it the CAI helped out, I wasnt paying much attention to mpg when that was added. And as far as the warranty, it depends on the dealer if they will hassle you about that. Mine here doesnt have any issues with it, hell they even warrantied the gear swap.
